job summary:
Jr. SAP ABAP Developer

Responsibilities:

  • Assists in the day-to-day maintenance and improvement of the Enterprise Resource Programs and related systems.
  • Updating documentation, computer programming and conducting systems administration.
  • SAP ABAP Programming including Forms, Reports, Enhancements, Conversions, Interfaces, Workflow, SAPscript, and Adobe Smart Forms.
  • Creation of SAP OSS Messages and Support Tickets, as well as the Application of OSS Notes.
  • Verifying and validating system operation, including writing and executing test procedures and test scripts, conducting functional and technical reviews, correcting defects, and providing technical support.
  • Performing and documenting impact analyses and development estimates for change requests.
  • Assists with technical design and functional specifications for business applications, identifies user needs, analyzes options and alternatives, and evaluates functionality and integrity of applications.
  • Makes presentations or conducts training on new or changed systems.

    Researches and tracks technical trends and products.
Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree in Computer/Information Science, a numerate discipline or equivalent experience
  • SAP application development from basic ABAP through advanced technologies.
  • SAP ASAP methodology.
  • Report writing using ALV and ABAP lists.
  • RFCs/BADIs/BAPIs.
  • User exits/enhancements.
  • BDCs and LSMW.
  • Workflow, WebDynpro.
  • 1-2 years SAP FRICEW object development experience using ABAP.

    Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Must be able to translate business requirements and design concepts into intuitive designs and applications.
  • Ability to explain and discuss complex analysis and programming issues in a manner that can be understood by non-technical persons.
  • Ability to analyze and define complex program structures.
  • Working knowledge of SAP functional modules (SD, MM, FI, FSCM, etc.) desired.
  • Experience with Adobe, Esker Deliveryware, Delego, QAS, Vistex, or Vertex a plus.
