Electrical Test Engineer
We are looking for an Electrical Engineer in Carlsbad, CA
This person will execute complex test protocols on PCBAs and electro-mechanical medical systems using a broad range of electrical test equipment (i.e. DVMs, oscilloscopes, active loads, power supplies, etc.).
Testing will include environmental testing and use of environmental chambers.
Additional duties will include maintaining & specifying calibration requirements for electrical test equipment.

Testing experience should include system and PCBA testing following complex test procedures at a bench level as well as extensive experience with electrical engineering lab equipment.
Strong verbal and written communications skills, a collaborative and inquisitive personality, the ability to read and understand electrical schematics, a strong basic understanding of electrical components and solid soldering ability are required.
Education: BSEE or equivalent
1) Understands electrical schematic diagrams, electrical component functionality and key parameters for those components.
2) Has experience following and executing complex electrical verification procedures, modifying circuits for test purposes, building test fixtures/cables, using all common electrical lab equipment, soldering, supporting technicians executing test as well as answering their questions and resolving technical issues. Experience should include both board and system level test and troubleshooting.
3) Good verbal and written communication skills.
Medical or aerospace experience is a plus.
More than 5 years professional experience. Set-up test equipment under existing calibration process, execute complex electrical test protocols on complex PCBAs and systems, support test technicians.
