CyberArk Administrator

Title: CyberArk Administrator / Security Analyst

Location: Richmond, VA


The CyberArk Administrator will be responsible for managing, maintaining and supporting client's CyberArk environment. This includes ongoing solution design and development, hardening, disaster recovery, supporting users of the platform, onboarding new accounts, and identifying enhancements to support the requirements of the business.


  • Managing the CyberArk environment and dependent technologies, including Enterprise Password Vault, Central Password Manager, Password Vault Web Access, Privileged Session Manager, Windows and Linux server operating systems, F5 load balancers
  • Responsible for maintaining the maintenance schedules, life cycle and capacity plans for all CyberArk components
  • Overseeing and supporting safe and platform creation
  • Assisting safe owners in the onboarding of new accounts
  • Responsible for managing the day-to-day administration and support of the CyberArk environment, to include after-hours support, support during planned maintenance windows or critical support issues
  • Responsible for licensing and entitlement management of the CyberArk environment, including growth and capacity planning
  • Responsible for performance tuning, providing high availability and eliminating single points of failure for the CyberArk environment
  • Identify inefficiencies, gaps and issues, and drive the analysis and documentation of technical requirements for enterprise CyberArk architecture,
  • Guide the development, adoption of and adherence to standard operating procedures as related to the use and management of the CyberArk environment
  • Responsible for providing Disaster Recovery solutions as relates to the CyberArk environment by developing and maintaining a library of procedures for disaster recovery documentation
  • Manage incidents, service requests, and change tasks in the ITSM system of record; with ownership, and escalation of issues through resolution
  • Partner with other IT teams to complete maintenance, build, and support activities in support of the CyberArk Environment and related technologies
  • Accurately maintain all documentation as it relates to configuration, processes, service records, asset inventories, topologies, administration manuals, job instructions, support contacts etc.
  • Ensure IT Leadership is aware of all known and identified risks to system availability, performance, reliability and security
  • Generate results through others (such as partners, vendors, contractors)
  • Scripting, Automation, and Orchestration to drive efficiencies within IT operations
  • Partner with security and risk teams to implement and maintain security polices and configurations in accordance with corporate requirements

  • 1+ years architecting, implementing, operating, and supporting CyberArk technologies
  • Experience with CyberArk Privileged Session Manager
  • Experience with CyberArk Application Identity Manager
  • Experience working in large enterprise level environments
  • Experience providing operational support for a large CyberArk environment
  • Experience working with load balancers, firewalls and other network technologies
  • Experience working with virtualization technologies
  • Experience with Windows Active Directory
  • Experience with Microsoft Office based products and solutions, including Office 365
  • Experience supporting and communicating with end users
  • Experience managing incidents, problems, requests, changes, within case management platforms (ServiceNow experience is preferred)

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS or a related field
  • Preferred professional certifications for the CyberArk Administrator:
  • CyberArk Trustee, Defender, Sentry or Guardian Certifications
  • MCSE
  • RHCE
