Our client is looking for a second shift (3:30 pm to 12:30 am) Systems Administrator. This position reports to the Data Center Manager in the Information Technology Department.
The successful candidate for this position will possess the ability to:
o Monitor/administer client server applications running on Linux and MS Windows Servers.
o Monitor/maintain all aspects of the IBM iSeries (AS/400), including performance monitoring, troubleshooting, hardware/software maintenance, upgrades and security.
o Work with the Applications Development Team/Networking Team on various projects regarding production of data files, creating operational programs, project turnovers, and support for system problems.
o Monitor/administer job scheduling processes through automation software, generate system correspondence.
o Assist with the tracking of announcements of future system hardware and operating system upgrades and assess implementation value to operations.
o Develop/maintain accurate and complete documentation on the Fund's line of business systems/applications.
o Create queries or scripts (PowerShell, VB, CL), related to the tracking of system operations and administration.
o Serves as a member of the Disaster Recovery's IT Recovery Team responsible for recovery planning as well as post disaster recovery of information systems.
This position requires:
o Associate Degree or Technical Information Technology Degree or equivalent.
o Three or more years of hands-on experience in: ? Linux ? MS Windows Servers 2008/2012/2016 ? IBM AS/400 administration and operation environment Candidates for this position should also demonstrate:
