Big Data Developer

Job Summary:

As a Sr. Big Data Developer you will be accountable for building new, data-intensive software products and applications that are focused on bringing the healthcare data together. These products are mostly analytical in nature and we use advanced technologies in big data space to provide a cutting edge solution to solve business opportunities.

Responsibilities:

o Performing all phases of software engineering including requirements analysis, application design, and code development & testing.

o Designing and implementing product features in collaboration with business and IT stakeholders.

o Design, develop and test reusable frameworks, libraries and Java components.

o Working very closely with Architecture group and driving technical solutions.

o Be innovative in solution design and development to meet the needs of the business.

o Address the performance issues and design the solutions to meet low latency needs.

o Use Big data technologies to enrich and transform data and do data analytics, machine learning.

o Lead technology decisions, drive product implementation and delivery.

o Support the implementation and drive it to stable state in production.

o Provide alternate design solutions along with project estimates.

o Reviewing code and providing feedback relative to best practices, improving performance etc.

o Troubleshooting production support issues post-deployment and come up with solutions as required.

o Demonstrate substantial depth of knowledge and experience in a specific area of Big Data and Java development.

o Drive the team and collaborate to meet project timelines.

Requirements:

o Big Data Application Development specific skills: Spark, Scala, Kafka

o Hands on expertise with Java Applications programs, and frameworks

o Agile/Scrum methodology

o Clear and concise communication, able to articulate clearly with Tech & Business teams

o Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.

o 2+ years hands-on expertise with Big Data technologies: Spark, Scala, Kafka

o 4+ years hands-on expertise with Java, Unix, and SQL

o 8 + years software engineering experience

Preferred skills:

Healthcare experience
