Sr Business Analyst





    • The Senior Business Analyst primarily acts as an intermediary between the Finance community and the technical teams. They will work with IT project/support teams and Finance to collect, clarify, and translate business requirements into documentation and conceptual design (using appropriate tools and models) from which applications and solutions are developed. The business analyst is an active thought partner and application visionary who shapes the technology demand among the business community by gaining insights into business processes and developing mitigation options.





      The ideal candidate for Senior Business Analyst, Financial Systems will possess thorough understanding of Finance processes, included but not limited too, Accounting, Treasury, Financial Planning & Analysis, Tax, Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, and Tax.





      Candidate should possess some work experience in the following:



        • Worked in corporate Finance as an Analyst and/or Manager/ Director for a few years
    • IT related experience within the Finance domain
    • Worked in a top-tier consulting firm implementing SAP is strongly preferred
    • Works with executive and senior leaders to create and maintain an operating plan to achieve the strategic vision and operating platform that defines the people, processes, tools, and technology
    • Partners with business and technology partners to elicit, analyze, translate, and document business requirements into technical requirements
    • Conduct current state analysis and document future state requirements, as well as, document and recommend solutions
    • Draft Business Requirements, Functional Requirements and SIT/UAT plans
    • Analyzes, documents and tests program development, logic, process flows and specifications
    • Develop user test cases, conduct user testing and monitor implementation for new systems
    • Partners with business partners to conduct user acceptance testing and gain solution sign-off
    • Documents user manuals to describe application usage by the Finance user community and operating procedures
    • Coordinates the project resources to ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget
    • Follow-up on initiatives as required






Skills:



  • Minimum 10 years of IT and/or Finance operations experience; bio-pharma or life sciences industry experience preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with planning and consolidation applications such as SAP , SAP BPC reporting is a plus
  • Thorough understanding of one or more of Finance processes such as Accounting, Treasury, Financial Planning , Tax, Order to Cash, Procure to Pay ,etc
  • Minimum three years of experience in Business Analysis
  • Demonstrated experience in writing software requirements and test specifications
  • Experience working on global or regional projects with team members in multiple locations
  • Understanding SAP landscape is strongly preferred
  • Experience with change management methodologies, organizational design, different operating or business models and business process re-engineering






Education:



  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • MBA degree with specialization in finance preferred
  • Certifications in finance domain such as CPA and FP&A a plus
  • Project Management or Six Sigma or other process certifications a plus
