Senior Business Systems Analyst
SUMMARY: Responsible for serving as the liaison between the business and IT in translating complex business needs into application software.
MAJOR JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Analyzes complex end user needs to determine optimal means of meeting those needs. Determines specific business application software requirements to address complex business needs. Develops project plans and identifies and coordinates resources, involving those outside the unit. Works with programming staff to ensure requirements will be incorporated into system design and testing. Acts as a resource to users of the software to address questions/issues. May provide direction and guidance to team members and serves as an expert for the team.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Requires a BS/BA degree, 5-7 years of business analysis experience that includes knowledge of systems capabilities and business operations; or any combination of education and experienced, which would provide an equivalent background.
SKILLS: Thorough understanding of computer applications and programming required. Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills required. Good analytical and problem-solving skills required. Provide Impact analysis and results due to Client Change Requests or Customizations Ability to understand and measure change impact to both process and technology Experience with Healthcare Plans particularly around: Member management - who is eligible and who is in what program(s) who are they associated with Provider - who is prescribing and who is administering Prior Authorization Letters - notifications to members and providers Reporting - Performance and Compliance Ideal health plan deployment experience across multiple locations. Experience with claims processing and prior authorization processes. Familiar with healthcare regulatory requirements Familiar with SaaS model deployment processes and post deployment change management / configuration management Familiar with Healthcare Software particularly around claims processing and prior authorization processes. Ideal Health Plan Services Deployment experience across multiple locations Able to manage multiple projects at one time. Ability to engage client leadership at all levels and guide discovery meetings Attention to detail Ability to mitigate risk.
