Financial Project Manage

Job Description: Plans, organizes and controls the activities of project team members. Oversees the development and implementation of a project plan. Manages and controls project scope. Manages overall project communication and resolves issues. Leads the preparation of business case, cost/benefit analysis, contingency planning and risk assessment. Oversees the development of recommendations regarding systems or process design solutions and process improvements. Develops and ensures the quality of applicable project life cycle deliverables. Serves as a technical, subject matter resource for systems and business line staff. Minimum Job Specs: Bachelors Degree in technology, finance, business or equivalent. MBA a plus. At least 7 years of related professional experience - either in financial operations or systems design. Experience with project management methodology. Very strong analytical skills. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Strong management, project management and leadership skills. Very strong relationship management skills.

Additional Details:

Must Haves: Non-IT project manager with the ability to lead small/medium size initiatives independently, good facilitation/communication skills and financial industry knowledge

This is supporting Client Delivery Management working on operating model related or other initiatives

Software Must Haves: Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Powerpoint), Visio and MS Project a plus

This will be working with a team as well as independently. This person needs to be comfortable leading their own project or workstream under a larger initiative. Need to be independent in leading own assignment. Within project, will be leading and working with a team.

Team is comprised of: Representation from business, IT and other relevant areas (e.g., legal, risk, compliance areas, etc as required)

Must be comfortable doing presentations. Will be providing status info to stakeholders; facilitation of meetings (with team and/or other impacted parties to resolve issues and/or drive deliverables)

Day to Day: Drive execution of plan deliverables and milestones; facilitate meetings (prepare agenda/meeting deck & recap/minute meetings), prepare project status, resolve issues, etc. PM must be able to independently determine next steps to continuous drive project forward
