Skype for Business Administrator

Seeking a motivated individual to support an enterprise-wide Skype for Business Server environment. Ideally, the candidate would also have experience in supporting a Skype for Business Online environment.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Perform application and service health checks of Skype for Business infrastructure
  • Manage current infrastructure to maintain SLA's and KPI's for optimal performance and interoperability
  • Be responsible for project and support task tracking, process execution and metrics for supported technologies
  • Apply system changes and infrastructure upgrades as needed
  • Assist and provide technical direction to a diverse global team
  • Maintain a strong collaborative relationship with business partners in support of business strategies
  • Provide guidance and recommendations regarding technical process and procedures
  • Must be available to work flexible hours and participate in an on-call rotation
  • Qualifications:
  • Experience implementing and supporting Skype for Business Server and related services (IM, Conferencing, Application Sharing, Mobile)
  • Degree in an Information Technology, Engineering discipline or equivalent experience
  • Strong background in PowerShell and scripting for Skype for Business administration and reporting
  • Background in SQL and reporting
  • Experience with Microsoft Exchange integration to Skype for Business Server
  • Knowledge and Administration of Windows Server
  • *Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Experience with change management process
  • Experience integrating multiple systems with Skype for Business (Cisco, Avaya, etc.)
  • Technical knowledge in networking
  • On-call rotation is 12x7 approx. 1 per month.
