Senior Network Engineer

-This position is responsible for analyzing, designing, installing, configuring, maintaining and repairing of network infrastructure and monitoring of enterprise network SharePoint

- The primary responsibilities of this position are the daily support, monitoring and maintenance of enterprise network to meet business objectives and SLAs. This position also needs to maintain and document network changes and topology, and proactively identify potential network bottlenecks that needs to be improved, and provide solutions.


  1. Responsible for Management, Install and Support of Enterprise Network

    1. Maintain a thorough understanding of the basics behind the Internet and its workings (DNS, Security, IP Routing, HTTP, VPN, Email Routing, SPAM, etc.)
    2. Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., switches, routers, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS)
    3. Design, setup and configure complex switching environments
    4. Design, setup and configure wireless networking using Cisco Wireless Controllers that supports open or secured access and the ability to support voice and video applications.
    5. Maintain a thorough understanding of LAN and WAN.
    6. Create Access List, Policies or Rules into Security Devices to protect and monitor network and applications
    7. Follow vendor's best practice and keep security devices Operational System current as recommended by the vendor
    8. Recommend and implement hardware OS update for the Switches and routers
    9. Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure
    10. Managing assigned projects and program components to deliver services in accordance with established objectives
  1. Provide advice and recommend network equipment for new network installation in remote offices or Technology refresh for an existing offices
  2. Respond to escalations from network or Infrastructure team to provide technical expertise by coordination with external vendor support
  3. Liaise with vendors and other ICT personnel for problem resolution
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (Qualifications):

  1. Knowledge

    1. Proven hands-on network engineering experience
    2. Experienced with Layer 3 routing protocols networking protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, OSPF, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS)
    3. Demonstrate working Knowledge with Cisco NX-OS and Cisco IOS
    4. Microsoft Azure Networking and Security
    5. Demonstrate working knowledge of VTP, Spanning Tree Protocol, 802.1q
    6. Demonstrate working knowledge of Layer 2 switching and Layer 3 routing.
    7. Demonstrate working knowledge of networking protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, OSPF, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS)
    8. Demonstrate knowledge of VoIP implementation, support and vlan tagging
    9. Demonstrated knowledge of Wireless Networking using Cisco Wireless Controllers
    10. Demonstrated knowledge of Syslog Functionality
    11. Experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tools such as SolarWinds
    12. Solid understanding of Net flow data and how to use the data in troubleshooting and reporting situations
    13. Familiar with Identity management techniques
    14. Ability to troubleshoot technical issues with customers and systematically resolve complex networking and application issue.
    15. Demonstrated knowledge of VPN and firewall technologies

  3. Experience

    1. 7+ years installing Cisco Routers/Switches/Wireless Controllers/Firewalls
    2. 5 + years' experience implementing, monitoring, and maintaining technical infrastructure
    3. 4 + years' experience implementing, monitoring, and maintaining monitoring devices
    4. 3 + years analyzing logs from different network devices
  4. Education

    1. Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, engineering or a related field and or relevant direct job experience

    1. Cisco CCNA/CCNP or higher
