Jr. Business Analyst

job summary:
Responsibilities and Deliverables:

- Creates and improves reporting on all aspects of the business, including financial, consumer underwriting and performance, sales, marketing, and call center metrics.

- Develops and reports on KPI's for all departments

- Monitors and tracks departmental budgets and provides departments with guidance on the interpretation, monitoring, and management of respective budgets

- Conducts detailed and complex analysis and evaluations of budget trends and performance to include both financial and narrative information

- Seeks ways to improve data, data processing and analysis

- Works independently and with co-workers on the creation, composition, and production of reports and presentations

- Participates actively on teams and committees on behalf of the Finance Department

- Performs regular audits of reported information to verify accurate data and resolves all discrepancies

- Responsible for any monthly/quarterly reporting obligations

Qualifications and Competencies:

- 2+ years' experience as a business analyst using Tableau required

- Exposure to financial services with proven experience in budgeting practices, accounting, forecasting, spreadsheets, reporting and KPI development

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or similar business degree

- Proven commitment to quality, innovation and process improvement with an emphasis on collaborative teamwork and high standards of customer service

- Strong knowledge of Excel

- Track record of consistently over-achieving expectations

- Must be self-motivated, assertive, curious and able to take the initiative

- Proficient in MS Office and web presentation tools

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
