Desktop Support Analyst

job summary:
The Desktop Support Analyst position will provide desktop support for the internal team members. This position will be responsible for anything technology wise on the user's desk. This will include workstations, mobile devices, voip phones, etc. including the software and applications installed on them. This position will need to think quickly and be able to bring end users back to a working state in under an hour. This position will own the workstation imaging process. We are looking for highly driven, self-disciplined individuals with excellent problem solving skills. Strong customer service skills coupled with excellent interpersonal, oral and written skills are a must. We want individuals who are looking to grow professionally within an IT team.

responsibilities:
  • Serve as tier 2 and handle all escalations from ServiceDesk
  • Work with endusers to Prepare, configure and deploy desktop computer systems that meet their needs.
  • Install, configure, and support multiple desktop applications including windows office suite.
  • Enter and maintain the IT Assets process from purchase to decommission
  • Maintain system setup and deployment records as needed regarding system configuration.
  • Maintain desktop images using Imaging software.
  • Prepare, configure, deploy and maintain mobile devices including iphones and ipads.
  • Responsible for tasks, ensuring that they are resolved in a timely manner and follow up with the user and/or document solutions
  • Review and update Service Desk documentation including knowledge based articles, handouts or other information including participating in company presentations.
  • Maintain Printers and their contracts for ADC
  • Point of contact for ordering Desktop components for ADC teamers
  • Maintain the WYSE hardware and software, including upgrades and software installations
 
qualifications:
  • Associate Degree in Information Technology or 2 years equivalent experience required
  • A+/Net + or equivalent required
  • MCP Preferred
  • Basic knowledge of PC hardware, software and network troubleshooting skills required
  • Familiar with concepts of Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, CMDB, Service Requests and their practical application is required
  • Proficient in windows 7/8/10 and Mac OSX required
