Business Analyst

job summary:
Requirements Management

- Perform due diligence during business development to identify risks and formulate a preliminary integration strategy.

- Document current workflows and identify business processes that could be impacted by integration activities. Collaborate with the project team and technical subject matter experts to design solutions as needed.

- Collect end user requirements to ensure that integration deliverables meet end users' functional requirements.

- Collaborate with the technical subject matter experts to identify technical requirements related to integration products and services provided by McKesson Specialty Health.

- Use knowledge of internal and external business issues to improve integration products and services

- Responsible for accurately mapping data elements from source system to target system

Project Management

- Actively participate, and in some cases, facilitate project team meetings to ensure that requirements are met

- Assist project managers with administrative tasks (meeting notes, action item follow-ups, status reports, etc...)

Plans, conducts, and directs the analysis of business problems to be solved with automated systems and applications. Partners with users to identify, evaluate, and develop systems and procedures which are cost effective and meet user requirements. May plan and execute unit, integration, and acceptance testing; and creates specifications for systems to meet business requirements. Designs details of automated systems. May lead cross-functional linked teams to address business, systems, or application issues.

Education: 4-year degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience.

Experience:

5 years experience in designing, building, and implementing business solutions using information technology.

Proven, significant experience in business analysis, requirements definition and deployment of business requirements to information systems and applications.

Knowledge/Skills: Specialized knowledge of building system solutions or business applications.

Strong writing, negotiation and presentation skills.

Very strong writing, negotiation and presentation skills.

Collaborative, customer-focused and able to create visible value.

Potential up to 25% travel
