The Logistics Process Analyst position is a newly created position. Its primary functions are to optimize logistics performance and provide details feedback to related teams.

This position will oversee the acquisition, distribution, allocation, delivery and resource disposal. This position analyzes and coordinates the logistical functions

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare reports on logistics performance measures.
  • Interpret data on logistics elements, such as availability, maintainability, reliability, supply chain management, strategic sourcing or distribution, supplier management, or transportation.
  • Review and report logistics performance with against targets, benchmarks and service agreements.
  • Compute reporting metrics, such as on-time delivery rates, order fulfillment rates, or inventory turns.
  • Apply analytic methods or tools to understand, predict, or control logistics operations or processes.
  • Recommend improvements to existing or planned logistics processes, such as distribution or inventory management, to ensure maximum efficiency or minimum cost.
  • Monitor inventory transactions at warehouse facilities to assess receiving, storage, shipping, or inventory integrity
  • Identify opportunities for inventory reductions.
  • Maintain logistics records in accordance with corporate policies.
  • Provide ongoing analysis in areas such as transportation costs, parts procurement, back orders, or delivery processes.
  • Maintain databases of logistics information.
  • Develop or maintain models for logistics uses, such as cost estimating or demand forecasting.
  • Develop an understanding of customers' needs and take actions to ensure that such needs are met.
  • Maintain and develop positive business relationships with a customer's key personnel involved in or directly relevant to a logistics activity.
  • Provide feedback to drive direction of US and Mexico teams activities by establishing task priorities, project assignments, and providing guidance.
  • Stay informed of logistics technology advances, and apply appropriate technology to improve logistics processes.
  • Monitor organizational processes
  • Manage the communication and procurement from internal and external suppliers.
  • Explain proposed solutions to management or other interested parties through written proposals and oral presentations.
INTERNAL & EXTERNAL RELATIONS

  • Will interact frequently with all members of the management team, especially the VP Customer Care and VP Finance & Administration, as well as work closely with the Consumables and Parts Sales, Sales Administration, and Finance departments to track and report data.
  • They will also interact with the corporate Logistics Department in France.
  • Will interact daily with Suppliers, transportation companies and freight forwarders, as well as warehouse partners.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in areas such as business administration, logistics, or Management Information Systems, with a focus in project management, logistics or transportation. Master's degree preferred
  • Courses in global logistics, business logistics, transportation systems and supply management
  • Minimum of three to five years of experience in logistics projects.
  • Project Management Certification preferred
  • Expertise in international trade, contracts and tariffs.
  • Professional knowledge of Spanish preferred
