Project Team Leader - Change Manager

Position Summary:

The Project Team Lead (Project Manager) has project responsibility for Radar products in serial production. The successful candidate will manage serial life product changes according to company standards , coordinating globally dispersed cross-functional teams. Reporting to the Radar Industrialization group, this role will ensure process and product changes are properly initiated, evaluated, validated, and launched in a timely manner, with appropriate control of risks and within the budgeted cost.

Specific Duties:

  • Implement changes: supplier-driven component changes, quality countermeasures, yield improvement, process changes, cost reduction, and customer change requests
  • Set priorities to implement changes, identifying change bundling opportunities to reduce complexity and meet limited number of available customer change windows
  • Interact with subject-matter experts to develop technical recommendations, obtain buy-in from stakeholders to reach consensus decisions
  • Prepare customer communication packages in coordination with Business Units to obtain customer approvals
  • Present change for all levels of CCB approval (reporting)
  • Use ECR PLM process to manage, enforce and document the change according to company standard
  • Develop and track business case / time schedule / validation plan / risk assessment / approvals with globally dispersed cross-functional teams
  • Coordinate/follow up handover and implementation in all impacted manufacturing sites
  • Provide management with a clear status of change and change impacts
Education, Experience and Skills Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 3 years' experience managing projects. An MBA or Masters in an Engineering discipline with 5+ years of electronics engineering experience.
  • 2+ years of Program/Project Management experience in high volume manufacturing. Preferably with a Tier-1 supplier to the automobile industry.
  • Ability to motivate and communicate effectively with globally dispersed cross functional teams
  • Superior verbal and written communication and people skills
  • Demonstrated ability to set and achieve stretch goals quickly, while possessing strong people skills
  • Proven expertise at fulfilling customer requests and requirements/supplier requests; approval process
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Project, and all needed MS Office packages
