Risk Analyst

job summary:
Looking for a Risk Analyst with VB and Access experience for a three month contract in southern New Jersey.

Summary: The main function of a business analyst is to analyze science, engineering, business and all other data processing problems for application to electronic data processing systems. A typical business analyst is responsible for analyzing user requirements, procedures and problems to automate or improve existing systems and review computer system capabilities, workflow and scheduling limitations.

Specific Job Responsibilities:

- The ability to understand, translate and produce Microsoft Access user forms, underlying VBA and Macro development for Microsoft Access and Excel.

o Review Business Requirements Document (BRD) with manager to ensure understanding of functionality to be created

o Using Access and Visual Basic for Applications skills, develop the requested functionality

o Review with manager and modify as needed

o Create and maintain documentation supporting work

- Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, attention to detail and interpersonal skills.

- Basic ability to work independently and manage one's time.

- Basic knowledge of design techniques and principals involved in production of drawings and models to Microsoft Access compatibility.

- Basic knowledge of computer software language, specifically Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) and Transaction-SQL (T-SQL).

o An understanding of the VBA script requirements for MS Access VBA, MS Excel VBA and Outlook

Education/Experience:

- Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field or equivalent relevant experience and training in commercial applications specifically the Microsoft Office suite and its integration within its components.

- A concentration, or proven expertise, in Microsoft Access; Excel and related VBA

- 2-4 years' experience required.
