Our Ann Arbor Client has an opportunity for a Healthcare Data Analyst to join their growing team. This person will play an active role in project conceptualization, data extraction and integration, and presentation of findings, both internally and off-site. Partial remote work may be possible.

  • Design visualizations and reports for assessment of provider performance in health care cost, use, and quality
  • Conduct analysis of administrative and clinical data to generate performance metrics
  • Analyze, mine, map, transform, and transfer large volumes of data across data sources
  • Provide data retrieval, use and reporting guidance to junior and senior-level analysts
  • Conceptualize, design and conduct new processes for internal and customer data visualization and reporting and ad-hoc analytics
  • Work with IT resources to implement data storage, retrieval and metric implementation in the data warehouse
  • Deliver accurate and complete information under strict deadlines
  • Assist internal staff and clients in the interpretation of data and reports
  • Manage individual projects
  • Oversee, mentor, and assist in the assessment of performance of junior-level analysts, as requested. Create and publish routine visualizations and reporting and ad hoc reporting, as assigned
  • Oversee and present data models, reporting solutions and other projects to management and clients in a concise and professional manner
  • Support and participate in business development activities, as needed
  • Continually enhance knowledge of health care industry data manipulation, technologies and approaches for data storage, retrieval and reporting
  • Leads creation and maintenance of share point data assets
  • Assists in creation and maintenance of data warehouse documentation
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 4+ years of experience in health care data use and reporting
  • 3+ years of experience in use of administrative claims data for value-based incentive programs
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to validate own work
  • Ability to synthesize data into effective reporting formats
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of health care delivery systems, claims data and medical terminology
  • Experience with various database models and storage approaches and competence with SQL
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, pivot tables, Microsoft Access and other data reporting and reporting tools
  • Experience with a variety of data visualization and self-service reporting tools such as Tableau or Power BI
