System Specialist, Global IT Infrastructure

job summary:
- One of the key members of the Global End User Services team responsible for helping the Global End User Services Delivery Leader as well as the Desktop and Mobile System Leads chart the strategic directions of a dynamic end user environment (integrate desktop and mobile) to support our global businesses in the age of digitalization

- Contribute to technology road mapping and solution integration of end user technologies

- Exploit end user technologies that will enhance reliability, availability, security, user effectiveness and user experience

- Provide technical support and resolution of complex issues in the desktop and mobile space

- Contribute effectively to projects and initiatives within and outside of the Infrastructure service teams

responsibilities:
Key Outputs: What we can expect from you

- Assess/promote new and exploit existing desktop and mobile services that value add to business end users.

- Manage and maintain a robust SCCM and MDM infrastructure, Active Directory Group Policies and other relevant end user infrastructures

- Ensure best practices are adopted in the governance of global end user infrastructure including support processes, policies and risk assessments

- Provide technical support to deskside and service desk staff

- Ensure the Service Level Agreement for End User computing with the Business users is met; initiate changes with service providers or service teams on continuous improvements

- Lead projects such as evaluate new end user software, hardware or new services; test and coordinate the rollout to the end users

- Adopt and follow stringent change control and change management processes

- Additional responsibilities as assigned

 
qualifications:
Selection Criteria (skills, experience, knowledge):

- BS/BA Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent preferred

- Candidate should possess 10-12 years of IT experience, with at least 3 years in the end user services space

- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft and mobile related technologies and their integration in an enterprise setup

- Good understanding of the various key technologies including System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), Active Directory group policy, mobile technologies, End Point Protection, Networking concepts and technologies, and IT Security, coupled with implementation experience.

- Microsoft MCSE/MCSA certification in relevant technologies

- Technical knowledge and experience with Microsoft SCCM deploying operating systems, applications, patch management, asset management, and desired configurations.

- Strategic thinking and strong analytical skills

- Working Knowledge of Incident Management and Service Ticketing Systems

- Demonstrated analytical ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve end user problems on the desktop

- Good interpersonal skills with ability to articulate and communicate with diverse groups of users

- Strong team-based ethics, organization and coordination skills, and flexibility to work in a global team

- Must be a self-starter, rapidly learn new skills and new technologies; able to plan, organize work priorities for self or team with little oversight

- Experience writing end user documentation

- Strong desire to continually enhance technical skills while remaining focused on end-user delivery
