AML / KYC Consultant

job summary:
The Compliance Analytics Team analyses and models compliance risk. The team utilizes both quantitative (statistical) techniques and qualitative analysis in support of risk assessments and other compliance initiatives. It combines advanced data analytics skills with domain understanding of anti-money laundering (AML), KYC, and fraud/forensic analytics to develop and maintain technology-based tools for compliance functions. We are seeking specialists in this space who can build and grow the services for our marquee clients, which include top investment banks, asset managers, and commercial banks around the world.

responsibilities:
Responsibilities

§ Review the risk profile of the bank and evaluate which AML rule address the identified risk

§ Review the default values proposed by the AML Rule/Model and perform statistical analysis of historical transactions to recommend revised threshold values (population and user level)

§ Prepare report for which would provide detailed justifications for recommended thresholds and could comply with SR 11-7 guidelines

§ Understand and implement statistical approaches like Clustering and Attribute analysis

§ Write complex programs, conduct code analysis, and develop models in SAS and/or R

 
qualifications:
Required qualifications

§ 7-10 years of experience in the BFSI domain in AML Analytics

§ Significant exposure to Mantas/NetReveal/Actimize and technical expertise in SAS programming

§ Experience in any of the areas - AML Rule / Model tuning and/or implementation

§ Strong SQL experience

§ Expertise in SAS and R, including but not limited to Base SAS, SAS/STAT, SAS/GRAPH, SAS Macro, and EG

§ Experience in statistical modelling and analysis, using techniques such as regression, multivariate, and factor analyses

ACAMS certification (added advantage)
