Release Analyst

job summary:
Our client is seeking a Release Analyst to help with the coordination of an upcoming release. Ability to manage release requirements gathering, planning, preparation, building and notification, while keeping all of the involved people (business and technical) informed about the state of the release.

responsibilities:
  • Respond timely to change and release management requests
  • Manage non-production releases: coordinate and facilitate code, configuration, infrastructure and data changes across multiple non-production environments
  • Compile and communicate meeting and Release notes
  • Coordinate and facilitate release meetings and organize release activities
  • Align with and serve as liaison to the IT Service
  • Negotiate with project technical team leaders or asset owners on difficult issues to drive resolution to ensure quality releases
  • Enforce non-production policy compliance to ensure successful implementation of appropriate changes
  • Support program integration activities

  • Strong decision making and problem solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Flexible work schedule in the event to facilitate an urgent release
  • Ability to manage release requirements gathering, planning, preparation, building and notifications
  • Ability and experience keeping all involved people informed about the state of the release
  • Ability to execute a defined change/release management process, including:

    • Coordination and facilitation of application
    • Infrastructure and data changes across multiple non-production environments
 
skills:
  • 3 plus years of experience coordinating with working with multiple technical teams for a project or technical release.
  • Very organized
  • Strong communication both written and verbal
  • Ability to manage release requirements gathering, planning, preparation, building and notification, keeping all involved people informed about the state of the release
