The Embedded Firmware Engineer will primarily be responsible for developing and maintaining our device products which include GPS, Cellular, BlueTooth, ISM RF, alcohol, tamper detecting, encryption, and various other tracking technologies.

  • Work with the existing Embedded Firmware Team to support, enhance and add new features to products, and assist in the development of new technology and devices
  • Effectively collaborate and network with numerous internal and external organizations including Hardware Engineering, Software Development, Quality Assurance, and Account Reps in the field
  • Help coordinate development with teams across our organization
  • Actively participate in code reviews; able to present to an audience, using clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional Embedded Firmware Engineering experience
  • Familiarity with Data and RF Communications protocols
  • Familiarity with GPS technologies
  • Familiarity with electronic sensors
  • Familiarity with User Interface designs
  • Limited experience developing intellectual property through patent filings
  • Ability to travel domestic and international on occasion
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional Embedded Firmware Engineering experience
  • 4 years of C Programming Language experience
  • Ability to understand existing code base with limited documentation
  • Strong debugging skills
  • Familiarity with ARM compilers , Keil IDE, NXP and Freescale microcontrollers
  • Hardware- Hardware Design, Verification of design experience
  • Knowledge of Hardware Schematics
  • Bluetooth design experience
  • Experience working with microcontrollers and embedded RTOS
  • Excellent analytical, organization and communication skills
