responsibilities:
  • Architect and tune database data schema, tables, store procedures, functions, triggers and permissions using Microsoft SQL Server and Azure Databases as a service
  • Devise and build data processing jobs for the creation and maintenance of tables and views
  • Manage the logical and physical design of a BI Data Warehouse, including the creation of tables, views, procedures, packages and other database objects in support of OLAP cubes for analytics and system dashboards and reporting
  • Work from business requirements to perform ETL, Reporting, and Analytics functions
  • Document data profiling results, data dictionaries, business glossaries, and data analysis findings
  • Analyze bottlenecks, deadlocks, expensive queries and remediate accordingly
  • Support the database development and production of custom applications for integration and collaboration initiatives
  • Develop data products and analytics to empower operational and exploratory analyses
  • Develop deep understanding of people data model & dash; write queries and manage data transformation to enable analytics and reporting
  • Support, train, interface and participate with peers, users and vendors as needed
 
qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Computer Science or commensurate with job experience
  • 5+ years of experience of MS SQL BI development and administration
  • Excellent documentation skills

  • TSQL - expert level (required)

  • Experience with BI Tools

Presentation skills (will be forward facing working directly with CTO & AVP of Tech)

IT team is 26 people. At the start it was only 5 people in IT Department. They have grown to 26, and they want to double!
