Description:

  • We're looking for a top-notch software engineer to augment an experienced software development team for Client's Data Solutions.
  • This is a new, green-field, cloud native project for delivery of financial data. Our goal is to find talented people with a passion for both technology and for championing best practices in cloud development.
  • In this position you'll join the Financial & Risk division of Client.
  • You will participate in all aspects of development of a production software system that supplies critical financial information to power our client's businesses.
  • We foster a collaborative environment where people love to exchange ideas and best practices.
Qualifications

Education:


* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or strongly-related discipline or equivalent experience

Experience:

* A minimum of 5 years' experience in the development of resilient, scalable, and flexible software systems

* Proven experience working in fast-paced software development environment, leveraging core Agile and DevOps principles

Necessary Skills:

* 5 yrs experience with one or more of the following: Java, Python, Go, .NET Core, node.js

* Expert with AWS technologies

* Experienced with serverless architecture and microservices

* Experience with automated deployments and continuous integration/continuous delivery

* Experience with containers (e.g., Docker)

* Experience with Restful interfaces

* Comfortable with command line interfaces

* Proven record of creating fault tolerant, highly available, scalable and secure software

* An ability to succeed working in a global team, with an emphasis on flexibility and customer service

* Good communications style and a strong desire to collaborate with business stakeholders, management, and peers alike

* Self-motivated with the ability to operate with limited supervision

Useful Experience:

- Experience with Maven/Gradle

- Relational database technologies

- NoSQL

- jersey/guice

- Financial market data and/or financial market products
