Sr. IT Analyst - Server
This position is responsible for the development, deployment and support of assigned server environments. This also includes program documentation, systems operating instructions, application user guides(s) and test plans in accordance with company standards and methodologies. The position collaborates closely with business stakeholders, end users, vendors and systems teams and will provide project management support which includes budget management for small and large scale projects under the direction of an IT Regional Manager, IT Director, COE Lead or Project Manager. Additionally this position is responsible for driving server infrastructure changes based on business objectives.

o Responsible for providing sound business process and technical recommendations and solutions
o Responsible for developing and coordinating deployment of changes utilizing company systems
o Responsible for identifying and/or participating in projects that increase the Americas ROI either through cost savings or increased revenue.
o Responsible for analyzing data and drawing conclusions to troubleshoot and resolve complex break/fix issues in a timely manner
o Responsible for taking ownership of issues or activities to completion, even when transferring to another area of responsibility
o Recommends standardized solutions utilizing both business process and applications to resolve issues to meet new and existing business needs
o Participates in the development of new applications and interfaces to existing systems as well as supporting existing systems ensuring systems are robust and highly available
o Acts as a technical authority and a role model within the team
o Responsible for developing well defined business and functional specifications by working closely with the users
o Able to understand and map existing server configurations to desired future state server configuration/operations based on user requirements, technical expertise and business knowledge
o Understands company's user processes and policies as well as be a super user on the assigned applications
o Performs timely patching to the entire server environment, server and storage hardware, virtualization hypervisors, server operating systems, and specialized applications
o Monitors and reports on backups and storage replication jobs. Intervenes as needed
o Builds new server environments using global standards and user requested customizations
Four-year degree from a college or university in computer science, engineering, or business administration, and/or a minimum of 8 years working experience with a combination of education.
Will also accept industry certifications in Windows Server OS, Storage and VMware in lieu years of experience or degree.
skills: o Backend and frontend VMware deployment experience preferred
o Storage deployment experience preferred
o Citrix administration experience a plus
o Ability to build and work within a high performing team environment
o Accountable for own work & deadlines
o Leads smaller projects in the Project Lead role with minimal supervision
o Works/coordinates with others outside the immediate project work group such as IT Operations or business users to resolve issues or complete project tasks
o Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
o Must be able to work well with in a team of senior server, network, analyst and other IT positions to support the business needs
o Able to make formal presentations to internal audiences using PowerPoint (or similar tools)
o Able to provide initial user training including user documentation and training materials
o Responsible for providing manager with weekly status updates as well as escalate issues when necessary
o Able to communicate effectively with non-technical staff, members of interdisciplinary teams, outside customers, and vendors on technical and business topics and issues
o On call availability for deployments, critical break/fix issues, and month end processing as required
o Extended hours including evenings and weekends may be required to meet project deadlines or provide services outside normal operating hours
o Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required for support role
o Travel is expected to be less than 15% in this role
