Position Overview

This position is to lead local customer technical interface and support validation activities during development of a global automotive project. Must be proficient in debugging, handling change requests, and communicating effectively

responsibilities:
Main activities/responsibilities

  • Main interface between the technical teams within company and the customer
  • Support software development activities with customer and service providers
  • Lead communication of technical issues Client to internal engineering and management team, using both formal issue tracking tools as well as project related status updates
  • Assist in assigning tasks to align development team with customer needs
  • Identify and Root cause software/functional and Hardware issues at all levels for all phases of the program and each applicable vehicle platform.
  • Identify and manage change requests for any application layer issue
  • Identify lessons learned to improve quality and efficiency for this and future projects
  • Ensure validation efforts are timely and responsive for fast feedback to development team
  • Support software debug activities using deep tracing tools, log analysis, bench simulation and evaluation techniques
  • Make beta code changes in support of software development processes, changes may require working in embedded C or in Linux operating environment
  • Comply with development process requirements and best practices
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of release documentation
  • Provide technical guidance to customer and service providers to enable development progress
  • Provide technical guidance for regional Project Manager in support of program timing or work product commitments
  • Prioritize activities based on regional Project Manager direction
  • Support assembly plant process development as requested
 
qualifications:
Experience:

  • Experience in SW product development for the overall life cycle
  • 4+ years of experience of embedded real time electronic product development with high level of SW contents
 
skills: Technical requirements

  • Able to evaluate Requirement feasibility
  • Able to discuss electronic and software specifications with the customer
  • Technical knowledge of system necessary(Infotainment and telematics, Instrument clusters)
  • System architecture and embedded software knowledge for automotive electronic controls required(preferred experience with debugging complex systems)
  • Capability to effectively design and use multiprocessor architectures
  • Software Design
  • Object oriented code development
  • Familiarity with techniques to monitor system/modules performances, identify bottlenecks, optimize performances
  • Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence tools) knowledge
  • Proven track record with requirement traceability
  • Proven experience in a structured Product development process
  • Requirements Management tools knowledge (e.g. DOORS)
  • Optional: Functional Safety standard and design rules (ISO 26262) knowledge
  • Optional: ASPICE knowledge and experience
