job summary:
The role requires well thought out decisions on complex, and sometimes ambiguous, delivery issues and establishes the delivery approach and direction for significant projects. The role will communicate to individuals at all levels of the technical and business communities. Role must develop a strong affiliation with the requisite business areas, enterprise architecture, infrastructure solutions group, quality assurance, and support organizations, including the ability to use, share, contribute to, and influence the appropriate artifacts, approach and best practices used to deliver enterprise-scale solutions.

responsibilities:
  • Perform the role of Agile Scrum Master to coach the team toward better solutions, improved business results and better processes
  • Coach, motivate and lead cross-functional scrum teams
  • Facilitate and assist facilitating team and program events and ceremonies
  • Remove impediments to the team's progress
  • Assist team in implementing SAFe into daily work and work with other teams that may not be using Agile SAFe
  • Foster the adoption of Agile technical practices
  • Assist the product owners in preparing and refining the backlog for Program Increment and iteration planning
  • Coach the agile team on best ways to refine backlog and create stories
  • Coordinate with other Scrum Masters, System team and shared resources in Agile release train planning activities
  • Work with other Scrum Masters, System team and shared resources throughout each Iteration and PI
  • Coordinate with other Scrum masters and the Release Train Engineers in the Scrum of Scrums
  • Fosters normalized estimation for the team
  • Helps teams operate under architectural and portfolio governance, System Level integration and System Demos
 
qualifications:
  • Lead scrum teams to position the MDM Delivery organization to provide support on an Enterprise basis
  • Ensure implementation and integration of DevOps approaches, tools and processes for Source Control, Build Automation, Automated Unit Test, Code Review, Automated Deployment and Automated Testing
  • Responsible for development and support of Enterprise Customer Preferences, System Catalog, Individual Identity and other customer aligned profile solutions in support of CRM and other Enterprise strategies
  • Participate in growing strategic partner relationships with Information Mgmt., Enterprise Utilities, WebIT, Mobile, and Core CRM to support increasing demands on the delivery organization.
  • Collaborate with business areas such as CIMA, Corporate Marketing, e-Business and other areas to develop and define strategic capability roadmaps and priorities.
  • Coordinate capability implementation roadmaps across strategic programs
  • Ensure adherence to emerging application security standards and requirements
  • Support solution design and thought leadership, from a customer-centric perspective
  • Lead team in collaborative development of prototypes for demonstration of concepts
  • Understand functional specifications and use case designs.
  • Support application and platform integration with evolving Enterprise big-data technologies
  • Determine requirement feasibility
  • Ensure agile tracking mechanisms are leveraged to report on and improve the team's effectiveness
  • Develop and champion use of agile dashboards and reporting tools
  • Coordinate and plan the system enhancement implementation roadmap
  • Ability to understand and translate business requirements into meaningful end to end solutions
  • Resolve conflicting priority among projects and ad-hoc requests
  • Support intake estimation processes
 
skills: Scope and Dimensions:

  • Reports to the Delivery Lead responsible for the MDM Delivery Group
  • Comfortable interacting, negotiating and presenting to IT and business executives senior management, technical leaders, and software engineers in business terms
  • Capable of driving alignment across the technology organization and Enterprise
  • Capable of driving decisions specific to large data management, practices, architecture and integration concepts
  • Ability to guide, mentor, and grow and integrate people and teams
  • Ability to influence technical discussions and decisions
  • Strong work ethic and sense of urgency
  • Experience with fast-paced start-up software development environments
  • Demonstrated ability and experience in providing cross-organizational leadership
  • Demonstrated ability to delegate and empower others
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards and techniques in development and testing
Qualifications:

  • Education / Job Experience: Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, five to eight years of diverse work experience in IT, or the equivalent in education and work experience.
  • Experience with DevOps, version control, testing and defect management systems
  • Knowledge and experience with the use of Agile management tools and delivery methodologies
  • SAFe Scrum Master Certification desirable, but not required
