IT Asset Specialist

job summary:
Description:This resource will assist us in migrating digital software assets from Mulesoft ownership to ours.

You will join Client's first-class IT organization and will work within our IT Asset Management team on a temporary basis to assist with software assets involved in one of our latest acquisitions. This person will be placed within the migration discussions between the acquisition, Client, vendors, and resellers to ensure we have a smooth transition of assets to our ownership. The position requires high attention to detail and excellent communication skills to varying levels of the company.

responsibilities:
Responsibilities:

  • Contact vendors and resellers for entitlement reports and process to transfer license ownership.
  • Receive data on proofs of purchase and licenses to record in our in-house CMDB.
  • Create reports on successes and track roadblocks to completion.
  • Maintain status notes on migrations with our M&A team.
  • Assist user groups in locating existing standards that users will migrate to instead of using legacy software.
  • Maintain proper documentation of software access procedures specific to the acquisition's software needs.
 
qualifications:
  • Strong data entry and digital spreadsheet management (Excel, Google Sheets)
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university
 
skills: Required Skills/Experience:

  • 1-3 years experience in Procurement or Sourcing environment, or negotiating in partnership with a Purchasing or Sourcing team
  • 1-3 years Software Asset Management or related software purchasing experience
  • Understanding of and experience in IT technologies
  • Expert in supplier management
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Highly organized and detail oriented, with the ability to multi-task
  • Strong data entry and digital spreadsheet management (Excel, Google Sheets)
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university
Desired Skills:

  • Experience with the Salesforce Service Cloud platform a plus.
  • Previous asset management experience in an acquisition scenario preferred.
  • Self-driven and able to manage tasks with minimal supervision.
