job summary:
Our client has a 12+ month contract-to-hire opportunity for a Scrum Master in Irving, TX.

Description: The position requires a strong Scrum Master with business analysis skills and technical experience and the ability to work well in a big-scale IT development team environment, as well as skills to facilitate communication, team focus, influence, service oriented, problem solving, analytic thinking, planning, personal development and decisiveness.

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Facilitating daily scrum meetings, sprint planning, retrospective meetings, and sprint demo

- Budget tracking, budget analysis, team progress reporting, burn down charts, and other basic administration activities.

- Removing obstacles team and sprint success

- Encouraging self-organization by facilitating the appropriate delegation of tasks and responsibilities to appropriate team members

- Training, mentoring, and coaching teams on use of agile development process

- Utilizing and improving of Agile tools as a tool to monitor and manage sprint success

- Coordinating across scrum teams in multi-scrum team environment

- Developing and managing the project plan, budget and sprint schedule including coordinating the efforts of all project participants and resources, while also serving as a hands-on participant

- Engaging with project stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand business inputs, functions, workflows and outputs to generate and document project requirements

Producing recommendations for business and system solutions to address project requirements

- Act as Scrum Master, helping to best leverage agile methodology to maximize productivity

- Provide feedback and suggestions for continual improvement of the agile process itself

Work with Product Owner, Scrum Team and other internal teams to resolve conflicts and clarify priorities

- Facilitate getting work done efficiently by facilitating discussion, decision making and conflict resolution

Requirements:

· Hands-on experience Scrum Master skills demonstrated by Scrum Certification and 3+ years working as a Scrum Master in a cross functional software development team environment

- If no certification, must have minimum 5 years hands on Scrum experience

· Must have strong experience in JIRA and SharePoint - minimum 2 years' experience

- Will consider VSTS/TFS Agile if do not have JIRA (minimum 2 years)

· Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with all levels of teams

· Certified Scrum Master (CSM) from Scrum Alliance

- CSM / Certified Scrum Master or SC / Scrum Certified

· Proven experience with AGILE software development methodologies and techniques

- All preferred but will consider one of the following: Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, or Automated Testing

· Excellent organizational skills - managing scrum projects

· Must be able to manage multiple technical, business, test and training teams and responsible for the full Software Development Life Cycle.

· Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience (or greater)

· PMP preferred

· MS Project preferred

· Crucible preferred
