Sr. Manager/Architect

job summary:
Hands-on Senior IT Manager ensures accomplishment of multiple teams and department's objectives and goals while mitigating risks to the client and to the company. This position is the recognized technical authority with strong domain knowledge within the organization and regularly provides advice and counsel related to the operation of the business.

Select and lead managers and/or staff who are responsible for the work of assigned team(s)

o Ensure productivity and engagement of team managers and/or staff who are direct reports

o Perform people management responsibilities inclusive of HRIS timekeeping, coaching, performance evaluation, and talent/succession planning

o Ensure high levels of employee communication, engagement, productivity, training, development, recognition, motivation, and commitment within the team(s)

o Take initiative to proactively develop, collaborate with appropriate stakeholders, vet, effectively communicate, and execute agreed upon strategies which accomplish the highest priorities of the team(s)

o Establish and ensure successful team execution of the goals, objectives, and measures which are aligned to achieving departmental objectives

o Support the design, maintenance, and implementation of efficient and effective human resource capacity plans

o Support the creation of well documented, measurable, and auditable processes/workflows

o Provide budget input, as requested o Understand and maintain costs within budgeted guidelines for the team(s) o Ensure the design and implementation of programs, policies, processes, and procedures which enhance reputational, financial, and operational risk mitigation and/or revenue generation

Ensure efficient, effective, and accurate task completion o Handle issues escalated by team leads and/or managers within the scope of authority provided by the Director and/or Vice President

Escalate issues and provide recommendations for problems outside the scope of authority provided by the Director and/or Vice President o Provide task approvals within the scope of authority provided by the Director and/or Vice President o Proactively identify, analyze, collaborate with appropriate internal and external stakeholders to ensure clear definition of problems, and make recommendations to resolve problems o Ensure service excellence o Support with business development as requested

Infrastructure Design and Strategy

o Research and formulate strategy on network, hardware and software infrastructure for VRM that is scalable, adaptable, and in synch with ever changing business needs and technology capabilities. o Work with the network team to provide SME expertise on design, and implementation on mission critical, multi-tiered infrastructure. This includes Video conferencing, IP based telephone solutions, high availability. o Ensures cross platform integration, proper application presentation, and acceptable performance through capacity and compatibility planning. o Provide expert guidance and technical expertise in a wide variety of infrastructure-related topics, including storage, Server, Network, Database, Virtualization, and Client technologies, to aid in technology direction and purchasing decisions. Define clear options on AWS, Azure, Google ? Quality Assurance 25% o Ensure the creation, review, and maintenance of desktop procedures, processes, policies, data changes, and other operational matters o Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, rules, policies and procedures o Ensure continuous and proactive improvement of processes and make recommendations to automate where appropriate o Ensure the creation of and provide routine and trend reports as requested

Job Specifications 1. Certification/Licensure: None 2. Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering. Equivalent minimum of 7 years of experience

Experience: 2+ years of hands on experience working with at least 3 of the 5 technologies listed below: ? Cisco Networking (Switching, routing and firewall) ? VMWare (ESXi 5.5 or later) ? Citrix XenApp (XenApp 6.5 or later) ? Windows Server Administration (Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, DFS, ADFS, etc.) ? Windows Enterprise Servers: o Exchange 2010 or later o Lync/Skype For Business (2013 or later) o SQL Server (2012 or later) o System Center (2012 or later) Experience needs to be within the last 4 years. 4. Experience: 3+ years of leadership experience in managing network admins, helpdesk and application support
