Project Manager(Applications)

job summary:
  • Defines and manages project approach, structure, and charter through the establishment of project requirements and planning.
  • Defines standards, methodologies, and processes to ensure efficient development and implementation of systems.
  • Applies project management methodology and standards to project activities in order to meet business expectations.
  • Coordinates the gathering of data for Project Managers.
  • Administers the project tasks and manages dependencies to ensure that activities are consistent with established IS&T standards, as well as business objectives
  • Prepares documentation and reports regarding project status, issues, and risks.
  • Prepares management reports summarizing resource utilization as well as how project plans are performing against critical schedules and budgets.
  • Develops, manages and monitors the project budget, schedule and scope.
  • Prepares necessary project documentation as required for an overall Project Manager.
  • Manages multiple small to medium sized project efforts or one large or complex project
  • Responsible for ensuring that all project tasks are completed successfully, on time and within budget guidelines.
  • Responsible for recruiting appropriate resources to serve on project team, setting project meeting schedules and facilitating project team meetings.
  • Holds and/or attends regular project meetings, vendor presentations, teleconferences, etc. which are associated with assigned projects.
  • Provides clients/project team members with appropriate verbal/written communications to ensure the overall success of the project.
  • Prepares presentations for project management and/or senior management relating to project status.
  • Ability to communicate verbally converting technical to non-technical terms.
  • Complete appropriate forms/discussions addressing performance and development goals for all employees assigned to each project to give effective, meaningful feedback.
