Compliance Analyst III

job summary:
The Compliance Analyst III will work with the state and federal compliance teams to assist with documenting procedures/processes, training, reporting, monitoring and supporting all aspects of the compliance programs. This individual will also provide assistance with evaluating, documenting, implementing, and tracking issues, controls, and controls testing associated with the implementation of enhancements to a compliance tracking tool.

-Documenting appropriate controls associated with compliance requirements based on established criteria

-Reviewing compliance requirements and confirming associated tasks are assigned

-Documenting/designing controls framework and implementing in compliance tool

-Documenting/designing task management and implementing in compliance tool

-Implementing policy management in compliance tool

-Partnering with key stakeholders to confirm ownership and track completion of tasks, filings, and other regulatory requirements

-Developing processes and procedures to support compliance requirements

-Validating completion of tasks by the appropriate deadline

-Reviewing laws, federal orders, and state laws to assess compliance risks and to determine if applicable

-Generating and reviewing compliance reports for the purpose of monitoring and oversight

-Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and at least (5+) years of related work experience

-Working knowledge and experience with implementing key elements of a compliance program

-Proficient with Microsoft products such as SharePoint, Excel, Word, and Power Point, preferably Microsoft Office 365

-Experience working with confidential information with a high degree of integrity

-Working knowledge and experience with implementing key elements of a compliance program

skills: - (7+) years' experience in federal/state regulatory compliance or similar work experience in compliance

-Experience working with OpenPages (IBM Governance, Risk, Compliance tool)

-Experience with developing test scripts, user acceptance testing (UAT), or data validation

-Experience with identifying, documenting and implementing controls

-Experience with controls testing and associated monitoring

-Ability to analyze data/information and make recommendations to the business to meet compliance program requirements

-Ability to work both on a team and independently

-Ability to interface with lawyers, IT professionals, and business partners to gain consensus and buy-in

-Experience with project management

-Strong verbal, written and presentation skills

-Experience developing and conducting training

-Experience with the following compliance areas: Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, Records and Information Management, Federal Acquisition Regulation, State Regulatory, Data Privacy, Dodd-Frank
