Summary/Objective:

The Senior Analyst, Variant Configuration Modeling and Pricing is a key member of the team responsible for the design, deployment, and ongoing support of the Global Company SAP Enterprise Resource Planning Sales solution. Collaborates with a diverse Global ERP and IT group as well as Corporate and Regional business teams to achieve strategic goals and objectives by delivering a world-class solution as promised on time and budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop the variant configuration related models and functions within the Global Enterprise Resource Planning systems design plan for our global product offering.
  • Integrate the Company SAP solution with customers' catalog systems and ecommerce platforms
  • Develop training design and process documentation and functional specifications for assigned business processes
  • Define the usage of fields, maps legacy system data to the system, defines data conversion strategies (automated and manual), and coordinates data clean-up and conversion activities
  • Assist in preparing the organization for transition and provides post-implementation support
  • Coordinate with the company's regional ERP teams and provide guidance on adherence to Global standards as well as manage change control.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. May occasionally move or lift up to 50 pounds.

Travel

This position will be based at Company Corporate headquarters in Charlotte, North Carolina with 25% percent out of-area and overnight travel expectations.

Education and Experience

Required

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration or related field.
  • Minimum 7 years' experience in Global full life cycle SAP Enterprise Resource Planning implementations and a high-level functional knowledge of integration of VC into SAP areas of SD, MM, PP and CO.
  • Expert Knowledge and hands-on configuration skills with the following SAP Variant Configuration objects and processes:

    • Strong knowledge of SAP pricing with and without Variant conditions
    • Classes and Characteristics including the use of reference characteristics
    • Class hierarchies and inheritance
    • Configurable Bills of material and routings
    • Use of class nodes on bills of material
    • Object dependencies including table-based constraints
    • Variant functions
    • Configuration profiles
    • Familiarity with modeling both in classic VC, advanced VC, SAP Hybris CPQ and IPC including the Product Modeling Environment (PMEVC)
    • User Interfaces for influencing logistics paperwork and configuration screens
    • Use of a 'Golden Client' for model development including familiarity with ALE of VC objects
  • Proven experience in an Enterprise team management role and previous responsibility for functional and technical guidance over the whole project lifecycle.
  • Prior experience with development and facilitation of Blueprint workshops on multiple process areas and demonstrated strong integration experience within SAP.
  • Proven experience developing training content and providing knowledge transfer to business "Super Users"
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and resolve conflicts; handle shifting priorities in a flexible manner.
Desired

  • Prior SAP S/4HANA and Advanced Variant Configuration (AVC) experience a strong plus.
  • ABAP skills highly desirable
  • SAP Hybris experience a plus
