Randstad is looking to hire a Security Engineer in the San Diego, CA County area for our customer, AT&T. This is a long term Security Engineer role with AT&T including benefits and PTO offered!

The Network Security Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, developing, and supporting various tools, technologies and methodologies to achieve the highest level of security in conjunction with business operations. The incumbent will be responsible for multiple areas of systems and network security, intrusion detection/prevention, firewalls, anti-virus/malware/phishing, log analysis and management, web content filtering, SSL and IPSec VPNs, vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, network access control, endpoint, perimeter, and cloud security technologies, among other things. Demonstrate the ability to perform the day-to-day operation, management, and administration of the assigned duties while working toward continuous improvement of processes and evaluation of emerging and evolving technologies.
The candidate for this role must have the ability to work at a high level of efficacy both independently with little direction as well in a team environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to convey highly technical information to a variety of audiences are a must. Attention to detail is paramount. The ability to work beyond scheduled hours to complete tasks and resolve issues as needed. It is critical that the candidate be able to accurately follow documented process while simultaneously thinking outside the box to resolve issues and provide enhanced services and solutions to the customer.
