Digital Marketing Specialist

job summary:
Our client has a 12+ month opportunity for a Digital Marketing Specialist in Sacramento, CA.

Required experience: 3 years related experience, experience with marketing automation (various platforms or technologies designed for marketing departments to use to plan, coordinate, manage and measure their digital marketing campaigns), CSS/HTML coding, and will need to work with a consultative approach.

Our client uses Eloqua as the digital marketing automation tool - other marketing automation examples include Marketo and ExactTarget.

This role will be part of a team that sends email campaigns and other digital marketing communications via multiple channels (including email, social, Websites) to a variety of contacts.

This role will be consultative with supporting strategies and will bring ideas to our client who will strategize how to take approach. This role will then code email/web campaigns (image sizing, links, landing pages, forms to build), and deploy.

General Summary

With minimal supervision, involved in strategies, solutions and execution to improve the usability, design, content and conversion rates of online and eCommerce assets.

Essential Functions

Responsible for on-going web site development, enhancements and run the business maintenance of our clients Web sites

Work side-by-side with Web development professionals while contributing to high-traffic, high-profile websites

Work with User Experience team members through the stages of design, development, QA testing, implementation and maintenance

Adhere to best practices for maintaining front-end code

Translate user experience descriptions into front-end code that is cross-browser compatible

Provide assistance and web development consultation to other departments on web-related topics

Serve as the publisher of a website or page, accountable for accurate content and language

Incorporate search engine optimization (SEO) tactics into the content management support for the website

Gather information for needs assessments, and support the development of objectives and timelines for web projects

Implement and maintain webpage graphics; maintain themes, styles and images for websites

Job Specifications

Typically has the following skills or abilities:

Bachelor's degree preferred (New Media, Visual Communications, Design, Marketing, Business) or equivalent education/training/experience

Three years professional experience in Digital Media production with some experience in Internet technologies, development and support

Experience with audio, video and other multi-media formats

Art Direction experience in both print and digital media

Strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite products such as Premiere Pro, After Effects, Illustrator and Photoshop

Ability to work with a high sense of urgency, handling multiple priorities, changing deadlines and constant interruption

Ability to multi-task effectively

Experience working on and leading cross-department relationships to accomplish design projects

Excellent presentation and conceptual skills

Exposure to application interface and online advertisement design

A broad knowledge of current design trends and techniques for web

Understanding of Web site priorities, product development, audience needs, site traffic and page views

Regularly exercises discretion and independent judgment the in performance of his/her job duties

Working Conditions
