Summary

The IT Project Manager will plan, organize, and integrate cross-functional Information Technology projects that are significant in scope and impact for the organization, focused on the Manufacturing, Operations and Quality areas. You will coordinate the people and resources required on these projects and will manage them from inception to implementation. You will be a key member of the IT organization and responsible for helping deliverable high value, strategically important projects.

Key Responsibilities/Essential Functions

  • Organizing and managing all phases of the project to ensure on-time completion
  • Development of standard project documentation including Project Charters, Schedule, Communications/Training Plans, RACIs, etc.
  • Vendor and Budget Management
  • Help evolve our newly formed PMO
  • Risk and issue identification and ongoing management
  • Chairing the Project Steering Committee and providing regular updates on project status to IT Leadership.
  • Proactively identifying and escalating potentially issues to provide opportunities for assessment and mitigation.
  • Ensuring Business partner expectations are being managed and being communicated with regularly.
  • Developing schedules and methods for measuring results
  • Assembling and coordinating project team members; assigning individual responsibilities and ensuring tasks are on track.
  • Preparing requests for proposals and conducting all necessary meetings to facilitate selection of project services and products.
  • Planning and overseeing the preparation and dissemination of project communications.
  • Management of project scope.
  • Manage information technology and computer systems identifying problematic areas and implementing strategic solutions with attention to solution interdependencies.
  • Assesses the risks of various solutions and prioritizes competing business demands.
  • Investigate and evaluate technology solutions and processes and make recommendations that maximize time, efficiency and cost.
  • Interact professionally with a diverse group, including executives, managers and subject matter experts.
  • Manage ongoing relationships with business partners to drive satisfaction with IT and proactively resolve business partner satisfaction issues.
  • Actively promotes safety rules and awareness. Demonstrates good safety practices at all times including the appropriate use of protective equipment. Reports and takes initiative to correct safety & environmental hazards.
Basic Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree in Information Technology or Computer Science with 5-10 years progressive experience in analytical roles of increasing responsibility, or equivalent.
  • Proven experience managing complex, cross functional projects in a Manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with systems validation and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Positive change agent passionate about project management.
  • SDLC expertise. Experienced with multiple project management methodologies.
  • Understands software and system requirements within the Life Science Industry.
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work in a team dynamic across multiple functional organizations.
  • Demonstrated analytical, troubleshooting, and problem solving skills.
  • PMP and ScrumMaster certifications preferred.
  • Non-routine overnight travel based on business need.
