job summary:
The purpose of the position is to manage projects and initiatives within SAP and across multi-functional corporate application and infrastructure teams, by coordinating the necessary activities and supporting the integration needs for diverse Global SAP and other enterprise application projects. Job description entails combining project management practices with agile development requirements.

responsibilities:
Responsibilities entail the ability to:

  • Coordinate the delivery of all SDLC activities for Global SAP Projects including project sign-off, business process review, gap analysis, requirements gathering, specifications, project planning, resource allocation, system testing, coordination with development, deployment training, go live support, post implementation support, and technical cutover activities
  • Enable the proper communication with the different Application, Support and Infrastructure teams to ensure all Global SAP projects are successful
  • Oversee Global SAP projects and assume responsibility for the quality of various project deliverables
  • Support enterprise wide monthly maintenance via weekend support and preparation of weekend activities across various functional groups within Corp IT, both applications and infrastructure
  • Be a proficient agile project manager with the responsibility of supervising and motivating project groups working in an agile environment, to enable them to complete assigned tasks within set time, and to deliver top performance.
  • Be responsible for managing project scope, risk and issue resolution and ensure the timeliness of status reporting with up-to-date, accurate information
  • Communicate project risks, issues, action items, etc. and escalate when needed
  • Identify KPIs and metrics that can be used for program and portfolio management and reporting
  • Demonstrate proven analytical and problem-solving skills including the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced, high pressure environment
  • Ensure SLA/OLA metrics are delivered and communicated to Business Application owners
  • Create and promote the use of a consistent PM cadence, standardization, templates and processes across the organization
  • Handle various responsibilities such as planning, scheduling, coordinating, and managing all aspect of the project
  • Should be comfortable to work with any of the agile modules
  • Interact with Global SAP PMO clients and understand their requirements
  • Maintain status report of the project and also keep a record of the previous reports
  • Compile historical data available with the team and present it for reference of senior officials and the team members on the project
  • Monitor and report on key Agile performance metrics to leadership team
  • Present status reports of the project to the senior officials of the organization
  • Conduct training sessions for team members and other employees on agile and design thinking concepts, while explaining the use of agile methods;
  • Help in the development and implementation of agile projects
  • Assist in team development by removing road-blocks to their work, mentoring them and making a good utilization of organizational resources to improve capacity for project work
  • Promote empowerment of the team by ensuring that each team member is fully engaged in the project with meaningful contribution
  • Encourage a sustainable pace with high levels of quality for the team.
  • Analyze our current Agile processes, prioritize areas of improvement, and work alongside key stakeholders to implement any improvements
  • Facilitate/participate in key Agile rituals across Scrum teams
  • Manage projects in JIRA and Confluence; providing software training to team members as needed
  • Manage various projects not directly related to software development
  • Above all else, foster and model a collaborative team environment driven to build great software while exuding a positive, encouraging attitude and atmosphere
  • Engage actively with the Architecture Office to ensure early involvement from a project's initiation and ensure application teams are completing the necessary deliverables as they pertain to the Architecture Office
  • Illustrate strong relationship management skills with emphasis on exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with varying levels of management and staff
  • Keep multiple teams engaged by being a dynamic team player with proven effectiveness in cross-functional team management
  • Ensure and facilitate the proper use of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology
  • Ensure that the Global SAP projects can deliver the benefits outlined in the project justification/business case and that they meet the expectations of Business Application owners
  • Act as Business Analyst, as needed
 
qualifications:
Qualifications:

  • 7+years of systems implementation/project management experience (preferably within the media business) in a complex environment (non standardized applications, multiple technologies, decentralized IT organization with presence in multiple countries/locations)
  • 2+ years of experience as a Scrum Master / Agile Project Manager
  • Proven experience with Project Management methodologies. PMI qualifications will be viewed favorably, as will any service industry or Media and Communications experience;
  • Proven experience in System Development Life Cycle management
  • Experience with SAP or related ERP
  • Relevant education and/or certifications within the IT/IS or Project Management field
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
  • Experience using Agile performance metrics to drive accountability and continuous improvement
  • Can maintain a high level of energy and engagement
  • A love to learn and improve as a Scrum Master, always looking to bring something new and helpful to the team
