The person in this role will be responsible for prioritizing critical scale, infrastructure, and production support efforts acting as the voice for multiple stakeholders. In addition, this role will be required to balance longer term scale and stability initiatives with critical short term production bug fixes and client resolution. Representing business and technology stakeholders, this role will work closely with architects, developers, and business to ensure solutions are implemented to increase scalability and improve processes across our Digital Advice platform. Completion of work will meet business needs for a fast-growing product, and communicating the business value of technical work done to the dev team will ensure cross-domain cooperation and support.

responsibilities:
What you'll do:

Scrum Team Product Owner:

- Maintains backlog for the scrum team including building requirements, hosting grooming sessions, and continual prioritization

- Involved in all scrum team ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, demos, user story sign-off, and production sign-off

- Actively working with stakeholders to add and prioritize new work for the team's backlog

- Gather, document, analyze and prioritize detailed business and technical requirements for user stories and bugs based on architect, devops, or tech lead direction.

- Add business value context for technology improvements being suggested or worked on

Primary point of contact for all stakeholders and represents priorities to the MLO team

a. Hosts stakeholder review sessions for alignment on priorities

b. Maintains team roadmap of deliverables, estimates, and milestones

c. Keeps stakeholders aware of priorities currently being worked, and impacts if any escalated items impact the list that was communicated

Prioritizes production support work as it comes to the team

a. Maintains a set of criteria defining "emergency" intake items that would require immediate change in plans to resolve, and process around taking action

b. Reprioritizes existing development work when urgent items come in

c. Work with production support partner groups across multiple domains

 
skills: - Experience in Agile development practices, scrum teams, and Product Owner responsibilities - Experience working on highly technical development teams - Ability to translate technical work as business-value deliverables - Ability to cultivate relationships with a variety internal partner platforms and stakeholders - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Strong interpersonal and communication skills, exemplifying the vision and values of Schwab - Expertise in financial services including a deep understanding over the range of financial product and account types available to consumers today. - High adaptability in managing an emerging platform through new and evolving consumer trends in financial data management.
