Application Designer I - IT

job summary:
The UX Designer (UXD) turns business strategies and requirements into conceptual designs. The UXD is fluent in web and software design patterns and user interface guidelines and best practices

responsibilities:
Create prototypes and design specifications for websites and applications by working collaboratively with business and IT partners.

Work closely with Visual Designer and Front End Developer to execute designs.

Participate in business requirements development sessions. Lead collaborative design sessions with business and IT partners. Required Qualifications

At least two years of experience in a related field

Expert in wireframing and prototyping tools and techniques.

Deep understanding of user interface design patterns and best practices.

Experience designing responsive sites.

Strong experience in user research methodologies including usability testing, card sorting, web analytics, field studies and heuristic analysis.

Ability to work within and contribute to design systems and style guides.

Ability to collaborate effectively and communicate with influence in large cross-functional project teams. Desired Qualifications

Proficiency in HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

Experience with Intranet Information Architecture, particularly SharePoint Intranets.

Experience in designing mobile websites and applications.

Know Web site tracking and analytical tools for data gathering.

Experience or familiar with prototyping tools such as Axure or InVision.

Experience working on Agile teams.

BA/BS degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Business or related field.
