Role:Program Manager V

Duration: 6 Months

Location:Chicago,Illinois

Description:

- Responsible for managing all aspects of a large, diverse and complex IT project or multiple IT projects including project planning, execution, timing, functionality, quality and cost

- Conducts regular reviews with Functional managers regarding project status

- Communicates projects status with appropriate organization

- Perform gap analysis for project expectations

- Assists with business justification for project modifications

- Ensure deliverables are achieved according to plan

- Successful utilization of appropriate methodologies to draft and review business cases, identify potential issues, develop counter measures and reviews that are aligned with company's strategy

- Serves as a single point of contact for assigned projects and takes projects from original concept through final implementation

- Utilizes expertise and leadership skills to define project scope and objectives, develop detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports

- Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis

- Develop tactical implementation plans and monitor progress of execution, including development and deployment of success metrics to surface core issues. Provide problem solving support to assist implementation teams resolve issues

- Provides technical and analytical guidance to project team

- Recommends and takes action to direct the analysis and solutions of problems

- Proven ability to work in a systematic fashion while being bold in decision making skills

- Ensures adherence to quality standards, reviews project deliverables, and resolves issues to ensure project goals and requirements are met on time and within budget

- Communicates with business leadership to provide timely and accurate information and status updates

- Provides guidance to lower level project managers and contributes to the development of professional project management skills

- Projects involve multiple disciplines in the IT function and may require close interaction with senior business leaders

Experience/Required Skills:

- 10 years of relevant experience managing/delivering enterprise wide strategic initiatives

- PMI certification is preferred

- B.S. Degree in Business or Technology-related field

- Proven experience in successfully executing complex projects involving multiple disciplines

- Expert knowledge of Project Management processes and tools including MS Project

- Prior success managing continuous improvement / change / reengineering processes and project plans including the management and allocation of key resources assigned to each of the initiatives

- Strong Consulting experience is a must

- Strong Leadership skills and excellent communication skills

- Manages the integration of vendor tasks and tracks and reviews vendor deliverables (if applicable)
