Full Stack Developer - C#/Big Data

job summary:
Software Design Engineer needed for contract opportunity with Randstad Technologies client in Redmond, WA.

We are growing our data team and if you love understanding the customers through the data lens this position is for you. We are looking for a top-notch, experienced, hands-on data engineer with big data skills and an analytics determination. Someone who is driven, self-directed, and focused on delivering the right results through data. In this role you will be part of the team responsible for defining the strategy and execution for collecting data, analyzing it, democratizing it and adding context to the data via story telling.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in defining data usage goals and requirements
  • Collect different data sources and create automated extractions and aggregations
  • Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture
  • Report on trend for established key performance indicators
  • Generate insight from data and derive recommendations for how to change the product to improve engagement, retention and acquisition
  • Investigate and highlight behavioral trends emerging from customer feedback
  • Build data expertise and own data quality for allocated areas of ownership
  • Support existing processes running in production
  • Build partnerships and collaborative data best practices with other teams across the company
Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of working hands-on in a production setting
  • 2+ years of experience working with unstructured big data for product and/or service telemetry
  • Expert in querying and analyzing data using Hive, SQL, Python, R, and/or C#
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
  • Experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools such as Airflow, Xflow, Luigi etc.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across multiple business and engineering teams
  • BSc+ in computer science, statistics, or related fields
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Engineering experience building large data systems based on SQL, Hadoop, etc.
  • Experience with big data technologies (such as Cosmos, Kusto, Scope scripts, Xflow, PowerBI etc.)
  • The ability to rapidly learn and understand complex data systems
  • Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and working independently
  • Great written and verbal communication skills
