SDET Performance Tester
Our global client is looking for a strong Performance Tester. The primary focus for this position will be the examination, validation, and testing performance of software systems. Responsibilities also include designing and building intelligent systems that can exercise various use cases and scenarios.

As a Performance SDET, you will be working in a technical quality assurance role with a talented team of testers, developers and system engineers. This role is responsible for ensuring that testing is structured to promote high availability, scalability and with a high speed of delivery. A key part of the job is your ability to collaborate and share information/results with engineers, product managers and other interested parties. We are story-tellers, your story is about the performance of the system.
- Minimum of 4 years professional testing experience in some combination of Java, C++, Linux, Apache/Tomcat, JBoss or similar JavaEE middleware, XML, JSON, and REST. - Hands on experience with performance testing techniques such as performance modeling, establishing baselines, services monitoring, and profiling system performance. - Knowledge of common performance issues and ability to use logs, monitoring tools, and work with developers to determine a root cause. - Experience with using performance tools and techniques to simulate large enterprise environments, such as Jmeter, Gatling, Blazemeter, Taurus, SOASTA CloudTest or similar tools. - Practical performance testing experience working with NoSQL databases -- Mongo and Cassandra preferred - Practical performance testing experience working with relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server
skills: - Strong communication and cross-group collaboration skills. - Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a cross-functional team - Experience with enterprise software and an understanding of networking. - Experience with platforms which can be run on a virtualized infrastructure. - Ability to work in an Agile, continuous integration environment. - Familiarity with issue tracking and SDLC tools such as JIRA. - Familiarity with software coding tools such as Maven, Git, and Eclipse. - Knowledge of linux/UNIX commands, scripting, and deployment technologies such as Chef, Jenkins, ANT, and Maven. - Familiarity with Cloud technology such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure
