SCCM Engineer

job summary:
Provide desktop packaging, scripting, software distribution, and patch management services for physical and virtual desktops utilizing System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) 2012. Provide technical support for desktop users, both onsite and remote including connectivity issues, desktop hardware and software support, as well as coordinate roll out and implementation plans. Provide technical support in the integration and deployment of all supported software products. Support current Active Directory scripting and policy updates for all retial domains. Evaluate and test new software releases and define standard installation and upgrade methodologies. Design, code, test, and implement software and hardware modifications to meet product and platform connectivity needs and specialized end user requirements. Assist teammates, Corp IT staff, vendors, end users, and business partners with hardware in the integration of software.

Perform related duties as required or assigned. Some after hours work and weekend work maybe necessary.

Requirement:

Minimum of 1-3 years experience with CM 2012. Must have prior Software deployment experience in an enterprise environment. Familiarity with Wise Package Studio and a minimum of 1-3 years of experience with overall desktop technology support and implementation within a large environment. Understanding of AD, scripting and Group policy.

Outstanding analytical and coordination skills along with excellent communication and interpersonnal skills. Ability to work independently and as a cooperative member of a high performing team. Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills and the ability to take ownership of technical issues.

3-5 years of SCCM administration experience. He has been responsible for working in SCCM 2012 console, performing configurations, logging files and deploying upgrades.

 
skills: Must be able to set jobs, research issues with why something is not patching, scripting to the machines (not just a button pusher), troubleshoot problems, SQL reporting is a huge plus.
