Summary

As a part of the Departments Enterprise Applications Division, this position is responsible for developing and implementing training programs supporting the Entities Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) financial system. Using best practices in adult learning supported by various instructional tools and technologies, the Technical Training Development Specialist is generally responsible for analyzing data to design appropriate curricula, developing interactive instructional materials, evaluating effectiveness of training courses, and utilizing the learning management system (SuccessFactors) for training administration. This position requires the update and management of new and existing self-paced instructional content using Articulate Storyline 360.

Responsibilities

Instructional Design

  • Conducts needs assessments to identify and evaluate training requirements for high impact technology training.
  • Plans, designs, and directs learning solutions using multimedia presentations and learning management systems.
  • Develops and maintains ERP financial system training and user support materials.
  • Consults with cross-functional team members to identify and adhere to organizational training standards. Makes recommendations for improvement to existing standards and practices.
Systems Implementation/Upgrade Training

  • Provides strategic consulting in all aspects related to training and/or technical training for organization-wide initiatives and projects. Participates in the design, development and implementation of training programs supporting the Entities use of the Tyler Munis ERP System.
  • Consults with subject matter experts to identify critical system changes that require educational support to establish end user readiness and acceptance of system changes prior to formal user acceptance testing and system go-live.
  • Follows project plans and provides status reporting for all assigned tasks; meets deadlines and reprioritizes as needed to complete timely delivery of project deliverable; manages course development efforts from inception to delivery.
LMS Administration

  • Deploys training items and curricula to end users, manages registration and attendance records, reports on learner activity.
  • Reviews, uploads, and tests self-paced content in the learning management system.
  • Collaborates with the Entities top-level administrator to troubleshoot LMS/course issues.
Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the field of Instructional Design with an emphasis in technical instructional design, development, and training delivery.
  • In-depth knowledge and application of instructional design methodologies for developing strategic blended learning solutions .
  • Demonstrated ability to use authoring tools in the development of training/support materials applying SCORM standards.
  • Expert knowledge of Articulate Storyline 360.
  • Working knowledge of an ERP Financial system such as Munis, SAP, Oracle or Peoplesoft. Specific knowledge of procure to pay business processes are expected.
  • Thorough understanding of concepts of organizational communications and the ability to develop new communications strategies to reach target audiences effectively utilizing a variety of methods.
  • Strong collaboration and team work skills.
  • Experience managing content and user administration in a tier one learning management system.
