SharePoint Administrator

job summary:
The SharePoint Administrator manages and maintains the SharePoint security and services infrastructure for all companies Enterprise SharePoint farms and sites. This includes tasks such as the creation of site collections, quotas, security, site administration, and template creation and management. The administrator enforces SharePoint governance policies.

The SharePoint Administrator manages change control tasks for production SharePoint environments, including upgrades to SharePoint and deployments of custom developed features. The SharePoint Administrator creates and maintains documentation for SharePoint infrastructure and service specifications.

The administrator participates in 2nd and 3rd level support of SharePoint by anticipating, mitigating, troubleshooting, and resolving SharePoint problems and escalations. Additional required skills includes PowerShell skills, Windows Server operating systems, network infrastructure, and SQL Server skills, and advanced SharePoint 2010 Central Administration, Health reports, Command Line Utilities, Solution Deployment, and Search configuration skills.

5 years of SharePoint Administrator experience is required. An additional 4 years of IS Admin experience with a HS Diploma or GED is acceptable in lieu of a Bachelor's.
