As a GCP Architect, you will be a part of team that is shaping the future of marketing technology platforms by step-changing our CRM and consumer ecosystem, enabling deeper and direct connections with consumers, building digital-native applications, leveraging disruptive technologies, driving agile work processes, and bringing thought/do leadership to work every day. You will be responsible for helping develop a cloud strategy, architecture, and implementation roadmap in support of E-Commerce objectives.

Consumers are at the center of everything we do and the team plays a critical role in architecting, designing, building and managing the marketing technology stack for our 80 brands and 4.6 billion consumers around the world. Our scope stretches across front-end touchpoints and back-end applications, consumer engagement and relationship management systems, programmatic advertising and consumer data management, algorithm science and data analytics, connected devices and other digital technology that interacts with our consumers.

Our team is embarking upon the next generation of cloud-enabled technologies to create deeper, more valuable relationships with our consumers so that they chose to buy products more often - both online and offline. We are looking for a candidate that can build and shape our use of marketing technology, specifically with cloud applications, internal and external API services.

responsibilities:
Responsibilities

As a GCP Architect, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers helping solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Demonstrates extensive knowledge and/or a proven record of success in modern software engineering approaches, technologies, and tools, including the following areas:

  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Desired hands-on experience with containers and container management: Docker and/or Kubernetes
  • Desired hands-on experience with one or more automated configuration management tools: Terraform, Puppet, Chef, or Ansible
  • Current Google Cloud Architect or Data Engineer certification
  • Event-driven and microservices architectures;
  • Big Data or Analytics or AI tools;
  • DevOps including virtualization, automation, continuous integration;
  • Mobile/Web architecture stacks;
  • Polyglot Persistence including RDBMS/NoSQL data stores and appropriate use cases;
  • Rapid-prototyping workflows and development tools;
  • Languages including HTML/CSS, Javascript/NodeJS;
  • Frameworks/Libraries such as Angular, React, D3;
  • Database including noSQL (mongo, neo4j, firebase), relational (mySQL, postgres);
  • Configuration Management such as Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Terraform;
  • Messaging such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis, GraphQL; and,
  • Containers including Docker, Kubernetes.
 
qualifications:
Demonstrates extensive abilities and/or a proven record of success in technical lead roles involving the following areas:

  • Communicating, verbally and written, with both business and technical stakeholders to achieve product engineering objectives;
  • Leading across all aspects of a technology solution such as integration, data, services, front-end, back-end, network, deployment, scaling, security, performance and development;
  • Managing rapid-prototyping efforts with new and emerging technologies leveraging agile development techniques;
  • Designing successful technical/integration architectures for large-scale platforms with a mix of 3rd party vendor, open-source, custom software, including the documentation of technical assumptions and decisions;
  • Contributing to and managing incubators/innovation lab environments, and working with small teams across a variety of new and emerging technologies;
  • Working in an environment that leverages project management skills like planning and tracking, issue and risk management, multitasking, team organization, and activity prioritization; and,
  • Developing front-end, back-end, and/or systems administration applications with strong proficiency in at least one scripting language (Javascript, Python, etc.).
