This position will be a key member of our global investment technology team responsible for the implementation and support of numerous financial management platforms and tools. The person selected for this position will work closely with our investment teams to understand business needs and define requirements, and then work to transform existing processes into automated jobs and applications.

Role Overview

The optimal candidate for this opportunity will have experience will full product life-cycle development including analysis, design, development, testing, implementation and support of complex enterprise systems.

Responsibilities

  • Build and implement software solutions that meet Investment Data Service business needs
  • Work with business clients and business analysts to design technical solutions and estimate work efforts.
  • Participate in software development life cycle process (Waterfall and AGILE) based on the project needs.
  • Participate in software testing processes with a focus on reusable test driven development.
  • Collaborate with software development team and technical architect in the team to define technical strategy and ways to maximize benefits of new technologies.
  • Provide 24x7 on-call coverage for production systems on a rotational basis.
  • Willingness to learn/adopt new tools, technologies and framework.
Qualifications

  • 4-year college degree in Computer Science or equivalent;
  • At least three years of experience in a software development role with exposure to full SDLC process;
  • Strong experience in following programming languages: C#, .NET & T-SQL;
  • Strong experience in designing and developing databases in Microsoft SQL Server; including the ability to design and maintain application data structures; Development experience with the Entity Framework or other ORM mappers;
  • Experience in using Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA, Confluence, Stash, Bitbucket or equivalent tools.
  • Previous experience in object-oriented design patterns;
  • Strong experience in designing and developing front end applications/UI, Data management Tools using Kendo UI, Angular or equivalent.
  • Strong experience in developing, documenting, executing test plans and automated testing tools/frameworks;
  • Working experience with source control tools (TFS, GIT), build, deploy (TeamCity), and support process.
  • Experience in working with scheduling and automation tools (like Control-M, AutoSys, UC4 etc.)
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills with ability to diagnose issues with complex applications and processes.
  • Excellent communications (oral and written) skills
