IT Operations Manager

job summary:
Our client is looking for an IT Operations Manager in Sacramento, CA.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • The Operations Manager shall have a minimum of five (5) years' experience within the past ten (10) years, supervising teams of twenty (20) people or greater performing maintenance and operations projects that are similar size and scope to the current environment.
  • The Operations Manager shall have a minimum of five (5) years' experience within the past ten (10) years, managing applications maintenance operation support ensuring the continuity and security of IT operations services. This includes escalation management, both local and wide area networks, and on projects that are similar size and scope to the current environment and hosted at a Tier 3 data center.
The duties and responsibilities of the Operations Manager include, but are not limited to:

· Manage all Contractor Operations Staff.

· Manage all ongoing Contractor operations including, but not limited to, planning, availability, batch processes, database management, transaction processing, reporting, performance monitoring, technical alerts, deployment management, and capacity planning/sizing.

· Ensure the system operates in compliance with the Contract service level requirements

· Work with the client and Hosting vendor to resolve all system issues related to ongoing systems operations including but not limited to system outages, performance issues and access issues.

· Work with the client and Hosting vendor staff to ensure the timely request and implementation for infrastructure (hardware/software) upgrades.

· Work with client and Hosting vendor to ensure the continuity of computer services including the wide area network.

· Ensure the on-schedule development and delivery of operations deliverables.

· Act as a liaison between the client, Hosting vendor, software development vendor with regards to System Development Maintenance and Operations (SDMO) activities and associated issue and risk management activities.

· Identify and proactively bring forward options that will provide the highest values to our client.
