job summary:
Our client is seeking a highly qualified Technical Lead/Architect professional to join their organizations Applications Development department. This position is responsible for analytical development and design of complex systems and provides expertise and technical guidance to resolve information technology problems. This position reports to the Director of Applications Development.

responsibilities:
Key responsibilities of this position are to: The successful candidate will possess the ability to: Provide application software development services and/or technical support and code, test, debug, document and implement/maintain software applications. Maintain tests and integrate application components. Oversee architecture recommendations and solutions. Understand hardware/software integrations and configurations and suggest configuration recommendations to drive optimal performance. Perform technical analyses of business requirements and usage. Assist the development team to complete technical reviews of other developers design and implementations. Understand and assist in the building of applications using stored procedures, functions, and triggers on RDBMS such as Oracle. Assist with the administration of the line of business applications running on Linux and MS Windows servers. Analyze/identify opportunities to eliminate or streamline common incidents and service requests through process improvement and task automation. Investigate, analyze and resolve critical problems which require deviation from traditional methods and procedures in the field of applications development. Analyze requirements and translate business requirements into product designs. Creates High-level and low-level designs and work with junior members of the team to develop similar skills. Consult with development, infrastructure and operational teams to address issues relating to application architecture, such as performance or availability, and recommend solutions. Provide technical coaching to raise the teams troubleshooting and problem resolution expertise. Establish himself/herself as a trusted technical advisor with key internal and external stakeholders. Handle code promotions to ensure that system improvements are successfully implemented. Write technical specifications and other forms of documentation, Capable and willing to take on various challenging responsibilities, priorities, projects and tasks as assigned by management. Capable and willing to learn new technologies. The ideal candidate will have: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a directly related field At least 5 years of experience in developing and building web-based applications Strong Object oriented development techniques Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), Event Driven Architecture (EDA) and related technologies. Microsoft .NET 3.5+ Framework HTML/CSS, JavaScript, AJAX Knowledge of Java/J2EE Knowledge of Eclipse IDE Knowledge of Java Application Servers, specifically Weblogic XML schemas and WebServices WSDL, JSON, REST Spring/Dependency Injection Oracle 10 g or later, PL/SQL, SQL Server 2008, 2012, 2014 Knowledge of client server applications running on Linux and Microsoft servers Experience working in a Linux environment Object Relational Mapping Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
