Training Logistics & Scheduling Specialist

job summary:
JOB TITLE: Training Logistics & Scheduling Specialist

LOCATION: Houston, TX


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES

- Create and maintain of a training scheduling program that meets all the associated constraints (i.e. instructor's availability, classrooms availability, geographical locations, number of required offerings, target audience, etc)

- Ensure the integrity of the Training completion data in the LMS of choice.

- Develop, coordinate, and maintain training event scheduling (and rescheduling), communication, and registration

- Maintain overall schedule in MS Excel and MS Access

- Use internal LMS (iLearn) to assig classes to users

- Update and maintain training events in iLearn LMS

- Register/enroll end users in training courses in iLearn LMS

- Resolve training and logistics issues and escalate as necessary

- Coordinate training event deployment logistics (reserve space, ensure technology is available, arrange printing, etc.)

- Manage master checklist for site technical requirements

- Gather and report on training effectiveness and feedback

- Non-key responsibilities include any support activity related to training content development, exercise data load, and delivery of end-user training as required depending on workload, priorities, and candidate's area of expertise.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

- Bachelor's Degree

- Excellent communication, verbal and written skills

- Organizational skills and attention to detail

- Minimum 6 years professional experience in logistics and scheduling for large SAP ERP deployment

- Advanced proficiency level in Microsoft Office applications, especially MS Access and MS Excel

- Basic knowledge of SQL language (able to edit queries in MS Access)

- Strong knowledge of LMS systems

- Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar

- Strong analytical and problem solving skills

- Strong communication skills, both written and oral

- Ability to multi-task and support multiple priorities

- Demonstrated willingness to take on responsibilities and challenges

- Experience interacting with end users (technical and business)

- Ability to learn new computer applications, processes and product information quickly

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

- Knowledge of Oilfield terminology and business practices

- Must have the ability to work under stressful situations and manage time effectively

- Be a self-starter and able to work with a minimum amount of supervision to accomplish assignments and projects

- Able to work effectively individually or in a strong team environment

- Desirable: Knowledge and experience with curriculum design methodologies (e.g. ADDIE)

- Desirable: Knowledge and experience with SAP Training Content Development and Delivery

- Desirable: Knowledge of adult learning principles
