GIS - SAP Analyst - Specialized

job summary:
Description

Responsible for maintaining and providing support for Order to Cash functionality in our large and complex SAP landscape. Responsibilities will include high-visibility issue-management, event-management, change-management, proactive system monitoring, regression testing, upgrades, and support pack implementations.

Position's Contributions to Work Group:

Working directly on application / technical problem identification and resolution, including off-shift and weekend support functions. Participating in integrated testing of application or infrastructure components. Working with vendors on the integration of purchased application(s) and/or infrastructure.

Designing and implementing processes, or process improvements, to aid in development and support.

Typical Day:

  • Provide root cause analysis and design for solution gaps in our gATP solution, as prioritized by our business partners and IT architects, to ensure customer orders are completed in a timely manner with correct data.
  • Provide guidance to level 1 and level 2 analysts in addressing grief.
Education Requirement:

Bachelors degree in computer science or management information systems or equivalent is required.

Certifications in SAP preferred. Should have previous experience supporting SAP's standard gATP functionality (R/3), as well as experience supporting schedule agreements, purchase orders, and contract document flows.

Should have 8-10 years of overall experience in working with SAP products in large organizations.

Critical Technical Skills:

- Strong verbal communication skills and ability to coordinate with multiple technical and business teams.

- Experience with idoc/queue management (data flows)

- Debugging skills for ABAP code

- In-depth functional knowledge and writing skills to create incident resolution and process flow documentation

- Timely and effective decision-making Preferred candidate will also have:

- Subject matter expertise in SPP MM

- ABAP development skills

- CRM and/or EWM functional knowledge

- Agile development experience

- ServiceNow and ChARM change management experience

Soft Skills Required:

1) Ability to work independently to resolve system problems

2) Verbal and written communication skills

3) Ability to cross-train other team members on processes

4) Collaboration with global team of IT and business resources
